DayStar Solar Filters
'Probably the ultimate
filters for viewing the sun in all its glory'
Observing the sun can
be a fascinating way of enjoying your astronomy.
Whilst many details
such as sunspots and faculae can be observed in the continuous
spectrum or white light, even more can be observed when using
particular wavelengths for specialist examination.
The most popular being
that of the Hydrogen Alpha line, and also now often used by the
keen observer is that of the Calcium K line.
H alpha ...............White / Continuous ............. Calcium
......
......
DayStar filters provide
filters to view the sun at both these wavelengths. Allowing views
of the chromspheric network in Calcium K, and wonderous prominences,
and sunspot detail in H alpha.
DayStar instruments
are manufactured to order, and to your chosen specification. eg
Hydrogen Alpha 0.95 - 0.5 angstroms etc.

*WARNING*
Observing the sun
without correct filtration is dangerous
You will blind yourself
- and you think reading this is bad
If in doubt - dont!!
