All DayStar filtering systems are fabricated one at a time. In general, factors such as half-bandwidths and spectral uniformity will govern manufacturing complexity and guide the basis for the cost of each system. The half-bandwidth controls the contrast of features seen on the solar surface. Prices listed below feature +/- 1/3 angstrom tuning. Filters incorporating +/- 1.0 angstrom tuning for advanced Doppler studies are available for an additional 10%.
All prics are quoted in US dollars, as currency rates do fluctuate. When wishing to place an order a 50% depsoit is required, the balance to be paid prior to shipping. Prices do not include deliverey, import duties or VAT. A full price in UK pounds delivered to your door will be quoted when you are ready to place your order.
Each filter is individually made to your specification, and is fully tested on the sun prior to despatch. Delivery is approximately 6 months from clearance of funds. DayStar Filters also point out there can be small delays due to weather conditions causing delays in testing. No filter is released without this testing to ensure full customer satisfaction.
